in the heart of Terra del Sole.
Castello del Capitano delle Artiglierie was built in 1564 as a Medici fortress within the Città Ideale of Terra del Sole, commissioned by Cosimo I to protect the border between Romagna and Tuscany. Preserved in its original character, it now welcomes weddings and celebrations within its walls.
The Castle welcomes you among its park, suites and historic halls. Different spaces, each with its own character, to discover and experience at your own pace.

Every moment of the wedding can have its own space. From the ceremony to the party, the Castle reveals itself little by little: you and your guests move between different settings, experiencing a new atmosphere each time.
A terrace overlooking the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, to enjoy with your guests during the reception.
The Ballroom, the Gallery and the Fireplace Room offer different settings for the reception and for a weather backup plan.

It's hard to put into words what this place has given us, where we left a piece of our hearts after spending the most beautiful day of our lives! The venue is wonderful, with countless spots and options both indoors and outdoors for organising the different moments of the day, including the possibility of holding the official civil ceremony. Heartfelt thanks to Michelle and Cesare, who run the Castle perfectly! They looked after and pampered us from the day of our very first visit, recommending the best vendors, accommodating our requests and needs, and guiding the whole day with the smile and calm of true professionals. We were struck by the care given to every detail and by their organisation.
